Our students, Abrar Ahamed and Kevin Biju Mathew of grade 10 brought in great laurel to the school with their first prize winning Science project, SUSTAINABLE STEPS, an innovative shoe designed to generate electricity with your footsteps at the NIMS EXPO 2017, held in the N. I. Model School, Dubai. The exhibit created by Shahbas Shihab and Rifaath Ameen of grade 10 received second prize for the demonstration of the working of the hyperloop. Aardra Shiju of grade 7 was recognised for her still model and was awarded second position.
The winners were awarded with trophies and certificates.
THE SCHOLARLY DAIS
Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah received two eminent authors, Ms Chris Higgins and Mr Luis P Gatmaitan on 25th and 26th of April, 2017 as a part of the Outreach Programme of Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival 2017. The interactive sessions enabled the students to comprehend and appreciate the perspectives of the authors, who guided them to initiate them into the world of writing.
PARAMOUNT BRILLIANCE IN KARATE
Alen Thomas, Adon K. Shalu and Krishith of Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah emerged as winners in the 13th National Karate Championship JKS Cup 2017, held in Al Wasl Club, Dubai on 21st April, 2017. They secured 6 trophies in all, winning 2 prizes each in the first three positions. The entire team was highly appreciated for their efforts.
GULF ASIAN BAGS THE COVETED SHARJAH SUSTAINABILITY AWARD
The brilliant talents of Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah received ‘The Best Team Award’ during the fifth cycle of prestigious Sharjah Sustainability award ceremony held in the Al Qassimiya University Theatre on Thursday, 27th April, 2017. The participants, Yasser, Sanober, Noufal, Salih, Zuhair and Melvin received the honour along with the Principal, Ms Nasreen Banu B.R.for the short film titled, ‘Leave No Trace’ produced to create better environmental awareness among the youngsters.
